Your privacy is critically important to us. At Smart House, we operate as a third-party client for Home Assistant, ensuring that your data remains under your control.

1. Collection and Use of Health Data
To provide advanced automation features, Smart House may access and collect Health Data (such as activity levels, heart rate, or sleep data) from your device's health sensors (e.g., Health Connect or Google Fit).

How we use it: This data is accessed solely to be transmitted to your self-hosted Home Assistant instance. It allows you to create personalized smart home automations (e.g., "turn on the fan when my heart rate exceeds a certain level").

Disclosure: We do not upload Health Data to our own servers, nor do we share it with any third parties. It is sent directly and exclusively to the Home Assistant server address that you have configured in the app.

2. Location and Sensor Data
Similar to Health Data, the application may collect sensor and location data to enable automation (such as "turn off lights when I leave home"). This data may be collected while the app is in the background to ensure your automations trigger correctly. This information is sent directly to your private Home Assistant instance and is never logged by Smart House.

3. Data Storage and Retention
We do not have a central server. Smart House does not store, retain, or have access to your personal data, Health Data, or sensor history.

Retention Period: Because we do not use our own servers to host your data, we retain your personal information for zero days.

All data management, storage, and retention are handled by your own self-hosted Home Assistant server.

4. Data Deletion
As Smart House does not store your data on its own infrastructure, the app cannot "delete" your data from its non-existent servers.

How to delete your data: You have full control over your data within your own Home Assistant instance. To delete any health or sensor data collected by the app, you must use the management interface of your personal Home Assistant server.

App Uninstallation: If you uninstall the app, it will cease to access or transmit any further information from your device.

5. Protection of Personally-Identifying Information
Smart House discloses potentially personally-identifying information only to those of its employees or contractors who need to know that information to process it on our behalf (e.g., providing technical support). We will not rent or sell this information to anyone. We only disclose such information in response to a subpoena, court order, or other governmental request.

6. Website Visitors
Like most website operators, Smart House collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available (e.g., browser type, date/time). We use Google Analytics for this purpose to understand how visitors use our website.

7. Changes to This Policy
Smart House may change its Privacy Policy from time to time at its sole discretion. We encourage visitors to frequently check this page for any changes.
